So it smells quite different from the old version. Givenchy lists completely different fragrance notes on their website. Coconut isn’t in the old version. I also haven't had the chance to test it anywhere yet.
I have no idea if Assassin Jasmine is even stronger (more narcotic?) than the regular one, but it always commands my respect. Sounds like a fragrance force of nature for the decade.
Ropion Assassin... I'm really looking forward to the test (thanks to the lovely @Skydiver19), I might need to find something with shoulder pads to go with it.
That's right. The original bottle has a square glass stopper and looks a bit like a mining tower. The scent is VERY Ropion ;-)

I prefer to admire these 80s powerhouses from a safe distance, but it really is sensational in its own way: a more-is-more oriental with chypre undertones and a narcotic floral richness on a dark, unsweet coconut cream base. I can hardly pick out individual notes in this densely woven opulence, but I definitely hear a distinct purring.
