a devil's brew

"Has the old sorcerer finally gone away!"
So thought not only Goethe's "Sorcerer's Apprentice," but also the creators of this fragrance.
They do not rely on a sterile laboratory, nor a hidden back room - no, they dance, metaphorically speaking, from the very beginning on a volcano, as close to the crater's edge as possible, without suffering severe burns.

The first impression is dark, hot, and smoky!
A dark cave, only moderately illuminated by torches in wall holders, where a large fire flickers. Above it stands on an iron tripod a large, blackened cauldron, worn from frequent use.
It bubbles vigorously, and now and then, sparkling droplets of this brew fly over the edge of the cauldron: they hiss as they die and leave even more smoke behind.
Almost unbearable humid heat prevails here, and a light film of sweat begins to form on the skin.
What ingredients this devil's brew contains, perhaps even the magician responsible does not know.
The senses of the shadowy beings entrusted with overseeing the creation of this fragrance are already clouded.
From the incense burners standing in the dark, intense, heating vapors rise: Olibanum of the strong, powerful kind and equally potent scratchy labdanum have been smoldering there for hours.
Now and then, a handful of black pepper is added.
And not only the senses, the skin now begins to tingle, turning slightly red - it gets hot, very hot!
Not only does the skin burn, but also the eyes; a few tears are released.

The brew in the large cauldron seems to consist mainly of fruits.
But which ones? Only the great magician knows: but does he really?
For sure, they are exceedingly sensual fruits, dedicated not only to Aphrodite but also to many other goddesses of joy and sensual pleasure.
Even the usually familiar bergamot changes here: it too becomes spicy, resinous, and smoky due to the influences of its surroundings - almost corporeal!

"Visione 2 Fuoco" is not a harmless little water!
It lives up to its name!
It creates visions that penetrate into unexpected areas of the self, which may even be frightening!
This fire burns extremely hot, as hot as the proverbial sin: it disturbs - awakens desire!
"So I stagger between desire and enjoyment, and in enjoyment, I languish for desire!" from Goethe fits here like the proverbial glove!
This fragrance generates almost unbearable heat at times; just as quickly it leads into icy cold, which should have nothing in common with hell.
And yet, the interplay of both is so refined that there is hardly any time to catch one’s breath, to rest.
The resinous smoky spice is a guarantee for long-lasting wear.
To stay with the cauldron over the fire: this devilish yet so divine fragrance being constantly changes its form, plays with feelings, its development corresponds to the simplest laws of physics.
The brew boils, bubbles vigorously, leaps over boundaries - only to finally simmer exhausted and quietly, yet still very intensely, to itself!

"Visione 2 Fuoco" pulls into a rapid whirlpool, in the center of which a huge red-golden fire blazes!
A massive eruption of all senses, all feelings surprisingly leaves deep calm and tenderness.
The skin-burning heat and cutting cold transform into deep well-being.
This fire leaves one exhausted, confused, and yet exceedingly happy!

No fragrance for cowards, for those who refuse feelings.
"Visione 2 Fuoco" leads to boundaries, enchants, tempts to possibly cross them: it should be enjoyed with a sense of adventure and also great caution.
For burns from fire and ice are equally painful!

No, this fragrance composition does not cause pain; it excites, confuses, and surely also repels!
If it is said, "The devil is sometimes a squirrel," then the devil here is certainly a fire-breathing dragon!
Therefore: beware when dancing on the edge of the volcano!
The dragon slumbering within you could be awakened. And then...?

I really can't get into the Gotis. I find them unrefined and erratic. But I guess I'm probably alone in that opinion again. That one, however, is admittedly good.

I'm so glad to hear that the spark is there.
The fragrances by Riccardo Goti are like his jewelry creations.
Silver, leather... patina! Very sensual & powerful at the same time!
Breathtaking for "fiery" hearts, this alchemist!..

The Goti style! I hope there are no lasting effects. I'll add it to my wishlist... just in case. ;)

Thanks, but you were too early: the final touches were still missing! The devil isn't that quick, but he is thorough!
