You can tell its age!.....
..... Because something like this hasn't been created in a long time. Even some niche fragrances could hide behind it! Because what this great-great-grandfather holds in terms of scent is no longer found in modern bottles!
Indolic amber-moss-wood-balsam structure with soft flowers in the middle, it smells as if it were just newly acquired yesterday. For so long (I don't know how long, but it must be decades) the ingredients have held up without being damaged. Perhaps the top note has suffered a little, because apart from spices and some aldehydes, I can hardly perceive the usual citrus fruit aromas. But maybe that was intended by the perfumers.
The wonderful depth, as only vintage fragrances possess, gets lost in lush roses, carnations, jasmine, and much more. And the spicy amber notes, moss, spices, and more make it unfathomable. Here, I can only marvel at a scent that my grandmother may have smelled as a young woman. And she has not been alive for over 30 years.
LET'S see a modern perfume try to replicate that! ;-))
