Cabotine Grès 1990 Eau de Toilette

Both the EDT and EDP are a beautiful warm, green, floral.. slightly gingery, tropical citrus notes, dark fruits, voluptuous tuberose, honeyed ylang ylang and peppery carnation with a slightly soapy, slightly dirty civet feel. Smelled up close, the edt feels more sparkly, fresh and sunny and the EDP has a more rounded warmer slightly more musky ambery powdery note and lasts longer than the EDT on my skin. I layer them with Al-Rehab Shadha, which is a lot like Cabotine to me on the drydown, except Shadha lasts a lot longer on me, and oddly enough feels richer and has more depth with much more pronounced jasmine and rose notes.

One of the reasons I got both of these is that I’ve been searching for a Tendre Poison dupe but they don’t remind me of it at all, maybe very distantly, but they don’t bring that feeling that Tendre Poison brought to me, maybe it was the asafoetida and lack of civet. Would love to be able to smell it again.
