Maybe we'll become friends?

To start with, I must confess I have always hated Guerlain, no idea why, the scents smelled very musty to me, outdated, but the more I engage with the fragrances, the more candidates I find appealing...even though I hate the original!

The bottle is simply magnificent, I am a big fan of classic bottles, and the red glass...a dream. The sprayer is of good quality, there’s nothing to complain about. When it comes to bottles, Guerlain is, in my opinion, right at the top.

The scent starts incredibly fresh and fruity.
The bergamot and bitter orange harmonize perfectly with each other.
Slowly, the opening recedes a bit without really fading and makes way for the light floral breeze of rose and jasmine.
Patchouli gives it a slight sweetness, but together with the bergamot and bitter orange, it creates a slightly sweet/tart note.
The heart note is really well done, perhaps the best part of it.
Gradually, we reach the drydown, which is lightly creamy paired with a somewhat old leather, similar to that of an older leather jacket.
That’s how the scent concludes.

The longevity is truly excellent, I had 7 hours of enjoyment with it and that’s really great for a fragrance intended for warmer days.

My conclusion.
One should never be biased, as I once was.
Here it’s all about testing, testing, testing, as every brand has its secret weapons.
I can say that Habit Rouge fans will not really be thrilled, as aside from the base note that slightly resembles the original, it has nothing of that. I find this scent very successful and will keep it in mind.
What I also find excellent is that there are few people who actually own it, which makes it a bit more appealing. It is definitely very masculine. Everyone should have tested it.
