Bewitched, bothered, and bewildered
Jicky beckons with one of the most stunning openings I've ever experienced: Invigorating lemon, bergamot, and rosemary, perfectly blended. Feminine, outgoing, not too sweet but all too fleeting. Then sweet powdery incense and rose emerge. The powdery incense continues into the drydown as the slightly raunchy scents of salty sea air and fur are revealed, deliciously animalic and absolutely feral. Finally Jicky subsides into something gorgeous and intimate, like your lover's warm pillow in the morning sunlight. Like Shalimar and Mitsouko, Jicky conjures up vague childhood memories for me. Yet she remains utterly wearable. Her audacity is modern. This is what I always hope the next incensy amber I try will be.
