A shine of youth still remains
In her herb-green gaze
Looking back at wild blooms
Delicate noble powder
On her skin
The leather
Tells a story

I have the EdP, such a great scent!
It's one of those that I had to smell a few times before I found it brilliant.

A great classic, and yet I can still picture the landlords from (There's Something About) Mary after your words... is it the leather?

I'm fascinated by the Guerlain vanilla here. I've never experienced it as beautifully as with this house. And of course, the Guerlinade in this fragrance. The unique combination of rose, iris, tonka, vanilla, jasmine, and bergamot. Simply heavenly!

I would want to love it, but unfortunately, the civet ruins the scent for me.

A great classic, and the only Guerlain that doesn't suit me because of the civet note.

Thanks to Cfr. This is definitely a big classic. I’m not sure how much of the original version is still in there, but you can definitely feel it. It starts with a fresh, herbaceous citrus note, a bit of herbal lavender and rosemary, before the slightly animalic flowers (jasmine) lead to a very delicate iris butter and some patchouli, transitioning into the floral-leathery, civet-tinted base notes, softened with a touch of tobacco-amber and tonka. Of course, it’s not for me, but it’s wonderfully crafted.

I've known it for 40 years and I would say: very much the original version.
