L'Instant de Guerlain L'Instant d'un Été Guerlain 2006

L'Instant had several flankers in recent years that never reached Germany, and so I missed out on this "summer scent" as well. What a shame.
But thank goodness for Parfumo! 10 years after its launch, I unexpectedly got the chance to experience L'Instant de Guerlain L'Instant d'un Été.
I was very surprised by the result! Similar to Terracotta Voile d'Été, I do not have the impression of having a summer scent in front of me. Instead, I find it very Mediterranean and - I don't like to say it - "punchy".
This does not mean that I think poorly of it: On the contrary! At times, it also reminds me of the Terracotta Voile from a few years ago, which I liked very much.
A vanilla warmth, heavy-powdery, exotic-floral, and with a good sillage are the main characteristics of this unusual L'Instant offshoot, which has so little in common with its namesake.
Particularly noteworthy is the Campari note with which it begins! Bittersweet-fruity, juicy-beautiful! It had me immediately.
A slight bitter note, like a good cocktail, runs through the entire scent progression and makes the sweet powderiness interesting.
Creamy-powdery is only the drydown, and it holds a hint of the scent for a very long time.
We must definitely revive this "Italian" Guerlain!
