Wonderfully fragrant and green

Roy Halston Frowick definitely had the right idea back in the mid 1970s when he created 2 different masculine fragrances, Z-14 and 1-12. He didn't know which one to release so he told his distributor to just release them both at the same time and that was a good idea indeed. Even though Z-14 is the more popular of the 2, I think that 1-12 doesn't get the recognition it deserves, mainly because Z-14 is much stronger and longer lasting. However 1-12 is less harsh and considerably weaker, the Fragrance itself is beautiful and old school and clearly can hold it's own. It's recently been discontinued, which is a shame but the prices for a newer bottle goes for a little more than $10 and is distributed by Elizabeth Arden. The newer formulation is watered down and reformulated and is a shell of it's former self. Thank God there are many Vintage bottles on sale and they're easily located online for about $30 or $40.00. The Vintage is too notch with the fullness being felt throughout the entire wear. Longevity though is decent but by no means is a powerhouse but I don't think it's supposed to be anyway. The Fragrance contains notes of Green Notes, Lemon, Galbanum, Bergamot, Basil, Mandarin Orange, Pine Tree Needles, Lavender, Juniper Berries, Carnation, Jasmine, Oakmoss, Labdanum, Musk, Cedar, Amber, Tonka Bean and Vanilla. Many notes in this creation but that was the norm for fragrances of yesteryear. This lovely Masculine Fougere is a Classic that every serious collector should own. One final note on this Fragrance is that it has a reputation for being a cheap scent but I clearly disagree. This Fragrance is an out and out Classic. :)
