Opens with wood and gentle balsamic notes paired with a faint hint of worn brown leather. The description specifies wool but there’s definitely no lanolin here, and instead it’s clean and soft in a wrapped-in-a-cashmere-blanket-on-the-sofa kind of way.
Within 15 minutes it has faded to a soft skin scent and that’s where it sits for the rest of the wear: cosy, quiet, and close. It’s pleasant but unremarkable, neither the best or worst of its genre, a scent profile and wear I’ve experienced dozens of times but is still enjoyable while it lasts.
This is the fifth Haus of Gloi scent I’ve tried, and I’m getting a pretty good handle on their house DNA now. Whatever they use as a base oil has a very distinct warm amber undertone that punctuates the test of the fragrance. Not necessarily a bad thing, but something to be aware of as it does change the expected character of some scent profiles (in this case for the better, I think).
Projection is soft and longevity is moderate. Gender is couch napper.
