8Scent 8Longevity 8Sillage 8Bottle

Smooth 2 - but through roundabout ways

The packaging, bottle, and spray quality are top-notch and truly in the highest league!

The scent itself: playful.
Too playful.
It shouldn't be let out on its own!
Because on its own, it just doesn't fit anywhere properly. Neither in the cold days nor in the warming ones.
Rather in autumn and secondly in spring.
Longevity and sillage are at least really above average. Depending on the situation, that can be either a curse or a blessing. Because Lover Man can tend towards causing headaches.

However, the top notes actually suggest something quite different. This scent should definitely belong in every top 10.

And now comes the crucial point:
If you layer it over another fragrance, it becomes just such a top 10 scent!
What it lacks in zest and freshness for spring and especially summer can be compensated with various summer fresh scents. In exchange, it gives those fresh scents longevity and projection.
In autumn and especially winter, it adds a touch of freshness that many of those gourmand fragrances actually need.
At the price that HFC asks for Lover Man, one would expect that it shouldn't need such "chimeras." But if you look past that, it is truly a great addition to any fragrance wardrobe.
And if necessary, it is still a good standalone scent. Although not a very good one.
In this review, I mainly wanted to highlight its potential for versatility in combination with other fragrances.
For example, in combination with Molecule 01 and Marzocco.
And for the colder days with Amber Star, Amberlievible, and even Layton.
So it could be fun for some of you to play around with it and create entirely new scents.
And if not: my name is Hase!
