More subtle than the church allows

If the Catholic Church and its dignitaries were like this fragrance, one would not have to worry about this institution. For me, a subtle fragrance, with much sensitivity, with great care, accuracy proceeding or executed; going into the subtleties; differentiated.
However, close to the church in one.... finely structured, therefore difficult to see through and understand. This also means subtle.

Each personal evaluation is always subjective, deserves respect and acceptance. Even if the sensation and evaluate sometimes eludes one, the other sees and smells it so and basta.

Here now my subjective feeling...
Perhaps this Cardinal is so finely structured and so difficult to see through, that one would like to imagine that where there is a lot of incense on it, there must also be a lot of soft smoke in it.
Because other components do not dominate and everything is so finely interwoven, you look for components? I felt that way and with Holy Spirit, I have perceived fragrances that were clearly smokier (Tyrannus, Norne, Precious Woods, N°. XXII - Black Afghan, even Oud Muataq, to name a few). Perhaps with a resemblance to Sancti - Eau Delà, but clearly softer.

That this fine fragrance Cardinal should be so smoky I explain myself only with the fact that the other components are difficult to detect and incense is at least finely perceptible, very fine. Linen, slightly citrusy, fresh, creamy, mildly spicy and sweet I still perceive, all rather subtle. Otherwise, it is really hard for me to dissect this fragrance. I would also like to leave it, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Cardinal is a very gentle, fine, light composition, which I would like to see as a whole and let it act on me.
A touching work for the quiet, sensitive and sensitive times of life.

A wonderful insight into a wonderfully subtle fragrance. You can't "fray" it, it works as a whole!

Only just discovered. Incredibly aptly described. That's exactly how I felt about him.

I read your scent impressions with interest, especially since I could not unravel Cardinal any further. Very pleasant incense, I thought, not urgent. Subtle.

I have recently discovered incense as a fragrance for myself, so your comment sounds almost tempting to me. Because I (unfortunately!) (still^^) do not know this scent here.

I think he's strong. Just incense. But frankincense was known and used thousands of years earlier. To associate it only with Christian religion is a regrettable reduction. It's a very special resin from time immemorial, and will remain so.

I have a 4ml sample of this and I love him very much. I find it strong, not at all subtle and rather harsh, yet fine. This is a beautiful fragrance and you are right, everything is tightly woven. A dream

Interesting comment!
For me the scent was hard to bear, although I like incense scents. My Cardinal was unfortunately not subtle, but it really raged and set the whole church on fire :-)
