Active Helène d'Arcy

There isn't much that I wouldn't have bet on, including my backside...
The blue-green liquid in the blue-silver capped rectangular bottle, which bears no resemblance to the one depicted here, along with the bright blue tubes of shower gel and body lotion that were so kindly yet boldly presented to me in a gift set, led me to conclude that "Active" is an aquatic-fresh clean scent, created for young, dynamic women with rather small budgets.
Sometimes the packaging designers make it very easy for us.
Sometimes - but not always.

All sorts of synthetic-looking little flowers bloom on my sprayed skin, none of which can be clearly identified, slightly brightened by citrus notes that are vaguely detectable in the background, yet remain just as elusive as the flowers.
A hint of anise mixes with warm-spicy notes that attempt to convey the impression of a sun-warmed flower garden, but hardly manage to overcome the unfortunately overpowering plastic note that runs throughout the entire fragrance.
Sporty or even particularly energetic it does not seem - "Active" presents itself on my skin as a rather generic fragrance for a not overly demanding clientele and only reveals faint ozonic notes in the dry down several hours later, which with a bit of goodwill can still be considered aquatic.
"Active" stays quite close to me, and remarkably so for a long time - even the following morning, delicate traces of the scent were still noticeable.

Good thing I didn't bet...
