The name initially puts me off. But the description is intriguing - my associations are probably completely wrong :D

Haha, I know those 4 days too, preferably while on the go and unexpectedly :D

Me too! But the interpretation is really beautiful and far from being flat and sticky. It works even outside of the 4 days a year when I strangely crave cola. ;)

Sounds very pleasant. I've only encountered a cola note in a Roja fragrance before, but unfortunately, I can't remember which one.

I think you're just discovering Hendley for yourself ;-) I need to test it out again sometime.

Caught! :) However, the further journey of discovery is turning out to be a bit bumpy due to procurement hurdles. But I really like the house so far.

Oh, very interesting! I would have guessed a thick, syrupy sweetness based on the name.

...and I'm all about sweet bubbles ;)
Neither of them dissolves like that; it has sweetness, it has creamy resins, but the result isn't heavy or sticky. Instead, at least to my nose, it's very pleasantly cozy with a slight smoky note.

Lana has a song where she sings about Pepsi Cola… 🤨 Okay, that's a different kind of cola here. Not really my thing otherwise, but your enthusiasm is contagious.

Totally different flavor @Midnights, really different. 😂
This one is nice. If it weren't from a dear perfumer whose nose I trust, I wouldn't have picked it up just based on the name. Check out "similar," it explains a lot even if they aren't exactly the same! :)

Red Bull or Korea??

I have a feeling that the name probably polarizes more than the scent itself. Hendley knows what they're doing!

If you also like resins, you definitely need to try this one. Unfortunately, it's not so easy to find, and my sample is sadly blinking at me with the last tear of its scent. :(

And I'm more the type who thinks, "if it's unhealthy, then please include sugar too" ;) (even though I can only tolerate the "light" version and only about 4 times a year).

Cola in fragrances isn't really my thing, because I always associate that cola sweetness with it... But this one doesn't sound bad.

Not for me either, similar to how I usually don't enjoy coffee, which often comes off too sweet in fragrances. Here, it surprisingly works well for me, maybe because the cola note seems more like a side effect, even though the name suggests otherwise.

Sounds very sweet, but definitely interesting. I’ve rarely smelled fragrances that realistically capture a "cola accord." Often, they’re more like memories of it.

It has sweetness, but without setting off my sweet radar (and that one can be quite picky ;) ) I think this one isn't trying to be true to nature but still creates a really beautiful interpretation of the idea. If this were a drink, I'd buy it (unlike regular cola).

Over a dark, cozy base of labdanum, styrax, tolu, and opoponax, cinnamon powder and nutmeg sprinkle down. An orange drips refreshing, juicy drops, while a hint of vanilla tames it without being annoying. It actually has a slightly effervescent sparkle; the name is both a blessing and a curse because, yes, it draws you in but also leads you on a "fragrance trail" that doesn’t quite deliver. Although it’s relatively linear, it’s much less "in-your-face" than you might expect. Instead, it belongs to the category of warming, calming scents that fit wonderfully with this season. My investigative yet clueless brain now wants to know how the cola note comes about. I suspect that, besides vanilla, orange, cinnamon, and nutmeg, tolu is also involved. I’ve never smelled tolu on its own, but Fauni (which has a lot of tolu balsam) also has a slightly effervescent note for me.
