I don't find it uninteresting now.

At first, a bit unusual, but later it becomes beautifully rich and resinous.

That really gets me into the Christmas spirit.. So beautifully described! I'll take a closer look at it.

It really gets you in the mood. Unfortunately, TC is hard to find... but it could be re-released for winter.

I can only imagine it as a strong smell of alcohol that you wouldn't want to carry around with you :D

At the office, someone asked if I just brewed a festive spiced tea. So, no worries!

Does it lean towards Apple Tabac?

Interesting question! As I recall, Pineward has a different spice profile; here, the tobacco is more festive, and the resins clearly dominate, which makes a noticeable difference.

Ohhhh, with apple wine it can smell quite strange.

You're right, I remember that from my visits to Mainz 😉

Winter apple tastes great, but tobacco would be rather off-putting. As a scent, though, I wouldn't like it even with tobacco.

I'm more of a candy apple kind of person from the fair ;-)

I often find that difficult in fragrances too.

The scent definitely comes with some hurdles - I'm not sure I want to tackle those. However, your great description is fantastic!

Yes, that's true. Despite all the excitement, I was a bit disappointed, even with the lovely base. Thank you so much for your kind words! :-)

.. might be too sour for me ... but your state is very nice :)

I felt the same way, but the resins soothe! Thank you so much for your kind words :-)

Is it at least drier Artisan cider, or do we have a Bulmers in front of us? ;)

Unfortunately, the cider is quite sour, which doesn't really suit my Francophile taste. That's why I'm not familiar with Bulmers either.

Very nice bottle, but the scent is probably not really my thing...

Phew, I'm too northern German for that (despite a bit of Rhineland-Palatinate blood) ;-)

Not the prettiest phase, but the scent really develops beautifully.

I'm torn between a 7.5 and an 8 for this review because the scent lasts almost 20 hours on my skin, and I really like the (skin-close) resinous phase in the drydown. However, the initial part with the sour apple cider and tobacco lasts way too long and is kind of off-putting to me.
