Extraordinary

A lot has already been said about Eau d'Hermès, yet I feel the need to contribute something as well.
It is a special fragrance that has captivated me ever since I first smelled it. The opening is very fresh, yet powerful, classically citrusy. What fascinates me completely is the quickly intensifying cinnamon note. This blend of a cinnamon citrus fruit with a bouquet of green flowers and grasses knocks me off my feet every time and excites me. This gives the fragrance an incredible depth and, although still fresh, an underlying warmth. A certain powderiness cannot be denied either.
In this phase, EDH lingers on me for a long time. Over time, more spices emerge, and the whole fragrance becomes warmer, almost oriental-gourmand. Vanilla and leather join in, the cinnamon remains, but takes a back seat.
Often, an animalistic note is mentioned here; I can understand it. EDH has something that makes one think of sun-warmed skin, which I find very sexy.
For me, it fits perfectly with a date on a warm summer evening, with good, light food, cool white wine, and stimulating conversations. You move closer together, the first kisses follow, a last drink, and you can't wait to continue the evening elsewhere.
EDH is the stylish companion for extraordinary evenings that remain in memory for a long time.
