A great man of film history has passed away - Ennio Morricone.
A man who has musically translated the understanding of content & dramaturgy of a script like no other.
A man who was always where he should be.
A man who never sold himself short.
A man who never sought the limelight.
A man who made himself immortal.
I have always respected and loved this man for what he has accomplished - for what he is.
For me, someone who gave me reasons in my youth to watch films that I would have rated as mediocre at best without his musical accompaniment. Reasons to watch films multiple times. Reasons to ignite a love for film, as few before and after him could.
From classic westerns to great horror and thriller classics to modern films. Rarely has there been someone who covered such a wide spectrum. Suitable for every occasion, for every theme.
I think I understand exactly what he means and wants to express. It's bold to write such an emotional review in the realm of analysts, where you can hardly grasp a word with pure logic. That's why it deserves a trophy.

I don't mean to have written some profound text that you need to read between the lines, but I stand by every one of those lines and every description I made in the comment about Morricone for the TdH as well.
