If it weren’t for the galbanum and ginseng… Unfortunately, I couldn’t get along with the orange blossom in Eau de Narcisse Bleu.

Flirting with daffodils. 😄
I do like soap, though.
No fougère on you?

For me, this isn’t a fougère, @Seejungfrau. It’s too straightforwardly green.

I can easily imagine ginseng and daffodil, but what does ginkgo smell like? The seeds of older trees smell strongly of butyric acid, which clings to everything it comes into contact with (a real treat in autumn for shop owners whose businesses are located along a ginkgo-lined avenue).
Translated · Show originalShow translation
ElAttarineElAttarine 15 days ago

Exactly, I know the smell of ginkgo seeds, and it’s not in here (thankfully). To me, it’s more ginseng, daffodil, and galbanum. But it’s lovely!

The opening in particular is wonderful-green, vegetal, and bitter. I can also see the connection to Eau de Narcisse Bleu, but here I actually prefer the edgy, galbanum-green character to that fragrance’s comparatively soapier, softer feel (although I often really enjoy Ellena’s work). The orange blossom in that one also always bothers me; I prefer it without. So, I think this one by Christine Nagel is very well done.

Thanks to @VanillaSwirl!

Exactly, the fruits smell pretty bad... I don’t think there are any ginkgo extracts in it, but who knows. For me, it’s the fresh, green notes.

The name is certainly original. I wonder how the ginkgo comes through here. The green? The soapy aspect? Do they use the leaves or the fruit? Or what? Ginkgo in fragrance is pretty unfamiliar to me. The fruit, however, smells rather unpleasant in real life...
