wet: muted vanilla. ive moved on from ambergris to orris as the note of the hour and picked this one up out of curiosity.
dry: a floral, thick, just ever-so-slightly-sweet vanilla. i can't really think of words to describe this, but it's fucking GOOD. color impression is #e8cad3.
30 min in: sweetness fading just a bit. this has low overall throw, but it really radiates right off the wrist. everything is blended really beautifully and even my mortal enemy cetalox is behaving here. feminine, but not too bath-and-body-works for me. i cant really comment on any sort of "lipstick scent" as ive never worn makeup but i guess i could say it smells like a very pretty soap without being soapy?
1 hour in: this is wearing relatively linear on me, which im so glad about -- im mourning bpal's Lyonesse, which had a similar vibe, but which vanished within 30 minutes. bisou on the other hand is still going strong.
2 hours in: still beautiful! maybe a little drier than earlier, but still plenty sweet with no real discernible notes, just a really lovely pinkish radiance. oh, i will for sure be fullsizing this. shit!! it's so good!!
3 hours in: fading, but this is with no cerave or glycerin primer. i think i am picking up a slight fruitiness to this now (the sugar and violet, maybe?) that reminds me a bit of b&bw scents. ive been assiduously avoiding every scent that mentioned makeup prior to now, but now im thinking about picking up a sample of hex's lipstick accord to layer with this to keep it from veering too far into sugary body lotion territory. or maybe even MORE cetalox? all i know is that this decant is going to be empty SO fast.
