Freshly Washed in Ibiza
I have never been to Ibiza. This probably sets me apart from most Germans. But somehow, I’m not drawn to it. The island feels to me like Ballermann on drugs, in contrast to the real "Ballermann," where the only drug, besides alcohol, is German pop music. Or rather a symbiosis of the two, because one cannot exist without the other.
However, Ibiza definitely has the better perfumes, which are actually made on the island, with mostly local greenery and the like. Hats off! When they’re not high, the Ibizans seem to be quite capable people, or so it seems.
Campos de Ibiza has created some truly outstanding summer scents. Can Hierbas d.I. keep up?
I fear not.
I found the top note incredibly exciting, sweet, lemony, clean freshness.
But once the citrus notes faded, the scent became increasingly soapy.
I still detected a slight freshness note, hardly any citrus-fruity, lavender quite pronounced, but the soap was too dominant.
After a longer period, only the soap remained.
I’ll take that now and slide home on it....
