Venice Beach in a Bottle
Socal Cologne by Hollister is, in my opinion, an absolute summer scent. I would even claim it is a fragrance for the beach.
The scent somehow reminds me of sunscreen and sandy beaches.
I can definitely identify the pineapple. I don't smell the rosemary or the leather. Additionally, I detect something woody, which gives the fragrance a slightly dry and spicy character.
The scent is completely linear and changes very little. It starts off very fresh but not that classic "soap" freshness and is slightly sweet. After a while, it becomes a bit sweet/spicy.
The projection is average; however, the longevity is unfortunately rather poor. This is a shame, as the fragrance itself is very good. Of course, one cannot expect too much in terms of projection and longevity from a cologne. It's a pity that Hollister hasn't released a higher concentrated version on the market.
In conclusion, I can say: A casual and creative summer scent with rather moderate longevity. Also, the bottle looks quite nice.
