Finally a cool ball queen!
After none of the other, extremely intense and calorie-rich House of Sillage fragrances had a favorite for me, especially not at these prices, today brought the grand finale with the brand's first release - Tiara, the crown of the ball queen from 2011. Completely different from the intrusive rest of the team/collection. A cool, relaxed, and still somewhat grounded beauty queen who convinces with her natural beauty. Of course not outstanding, but finally more than just shock effect or fragrance experiment!
It starts off really citrusy, but flat and simple. But after the other scent bombs from the house, this is a satisfaction. It always depends on the combination and context/situation in which you test a fragrance. A pinch of cinnamon alongside the citrus fits in well, even if it sounds inappropriate. The cinnamon becomes cool and smooth here, almost cooling like mint. After that, the scent turns into a rosy seductress and remains supple and extremely subtle, almost shy. Not at all typical like her colleagues such as Benevolence or Emerald Reign. But still, this is the true queen of the evening. Besides the rose, you can also smell something woody-green, and the fragrance ends in a powdery musk base, sweetened by vanilla and amber, coming across almost more robust and stronger than the first 2/3 of the fragrance.
Sillage is elegantly restrained, longevity is about 6 hours, and the bottle looks ridiculously kitschy.
The jewel of the HoS fragrances, which almost comes across as sleepy and Sleeping Beauty-like! Nevertheless: glamorous appearance!
