Very helpful Review
No moss - no fun.
I can't quite decide between disappointment and enthusiasm. The reason is that for me, the scent experiences of the top and base notes are so vastly different.
On the first spray, I was indeed enchanted. Quite different from what I expected, this fragrance was neither cloying nor too masculine, but very elegant and interesting. It is a bit heavy, that's true. However, in a "cool" way, hard to describe. I believe the aldehydes come across a bit sharper, more herbal here. I also think I can smell the moss right from the start, but maybe that's just wishful thinking. In any case, I find the combination with the beloved fruity peach sweetness very successful.
The floral note remains present from beginning to end, but in my opinion, it leaves the spotlight to other components.
Over time, the fragrance "warms" up, becoming sweeter and sweeter, and loses its charm for me. It comes out of balance.
Towards the end, it smells to me hardly better than any random fragrance from the drugstore. A lot of sandalwood and only a faint echo of moss and white flowers. While it is very pleasing, it has somehow become uninteresting. As someone already mentioned here: banal.
Particularly unfortunate is that it doesn't last well on me at all. Or well, to be honest, it does, but this annoying base note lasts quite a long time, and that's not what I want! The lovely opening evaporates faster than the police allows.
In the end, I find the composition only moderately successful.
For having some of my favorite notes included, it just doesn't blow me away nearly as much as I thought it would.
What a shame!
