Cut off the head! ;-)
In my nose, the top note is amazing! Because somehow green-sweet, you rarely smell it, very original anyway. "Wow!" I thought (I have a sample) ... for about 3-5 minutes, then unfortunately the scent becomes interchangeably sweet. Maybe it was intentionally produced this way: Spray it on the cardboard strip at Douglas, think "cool," and buy it!?
As bad as The Scent is treated here, I don’t find it that terrible! Boss Bottled and Hugo are just as much a part of my twenties (which are quite a while back) as Boss Soul and Dark Blue are to my thirties (bad, right?!) ... I have the feeling that Boss is generally criticized here, and the more negative reviews there are, the more users naturally join in!
That said: This forum also thrives on its self-proclaimed influencers! ;-) But tastes are simply different, and that's a good thing, because otherwise there would be uniformity instead of diversity. The Scent may be a soft and ultimately unspectacular-sweet fragrance, but I don’t like to reach for extremes that bore into my nose like the exhaust fumes of a Vespa standing in front of me at the traffic light!
I don’t want to attract unnecessary attention with my fragrance, but rather smell good for myself and my girlfriend and not unnecessarily stir things up with my office colleagues! ;-) Nevertheless: If the top note of The Scent lasted beyond two or three hours, it would be one of my favorites. Does anyone possibly have a tip for me?
In the end: Yes, a bit arbitrary, sweet, tailored to the standard autumn evening. But not worse than some extremely expensive EDT that is praised here over the "green clover," even if it often disappears after the opening! ;-)
