Elegant Vetiver Hugo Boss 2021

Well, I certainly don't have the most refined spice tester, and I usually find it very difficult to identify individual fragrance notes. But with this scent, there is clearly one note that emerges, reminiscent of preparing a pistachio ice cream mixture from lightly roasted pistachios, slowly but persistently spreading throughout the kitchen. Very appetizing, almost festive, I must say!

This note dissipates after a short time and makes way for a balsamic-woody, slightly sweet yet very fresh scent that develops over the next hour. While vetiver scents usually bother me after a while, everything here just harmonizes very well for my taste. This is probably also due to the labdanum and cashmeran in the base.

Points are deducted for longevity and intensity/sillage - at least my nose gets used to it very quickly, so I always feel like it doesn't last long, but the scarf that has come into contact with it still carries the scent for several days from a short distance - especially if one uses a relatively generous amount, which makes this perfume unfortunately run out quickly.

Nevertheless, I wouldn't say it's a bad price-performance ratio. I simply love this scent too much because it is very harmonious and works very well with "my chemistry." The fragrance has both a Mediterranean and a festive quality, making it quite wearable throughout the year, in my opinion. Not least because of this, it has practically become my signature scent, and I would always invest that not-so-small amount of money in it again.
