I'm not quite sure..
Vigorous Cologne is a fragrance by Hugo Boss that belongs to the higher-priced collection.
It is the first scent I could test from this collection.
Is Vigorous Cologne worth the higher price?
Honestly, my opinion is no. For me, you get a rather nice, but ordinary cologne here. The price is around 200€.
Vigorous Cologne has that typical cologne-like freshness for me. The fresh notes are somewhat bitter and especially greenish.
Bergamot, rosemary, and the moss listed in the base come through well for me. However, I also had the impression of smelling some ginger, which is not listed.
Nevertheless, the scent has a strange synthetic quality for me. The smell that occasionally wafts into my nose is not entirely pleasant. Sometimes I associate it with cleaning products.
My girlfriend said for the first time: "Ugh, what’s in the air? Did you put on hair removal cream?"
I said it was a scent for testing. Today I tested the fragrance again without her knowing, and suddenly she said again: "Did you spray that hair removal perfume again? It smells so disgusting here."
So you can see, opinions differ, and this cologne doesn’t seem to please everyone.
Still, I don’t find it nearly as bad as my partner does.
A positive note is the longevity for a cologne.
The scent lasts a good seven to eight hours on me. The projection in the first hour is also remarkable, then it weakens, but that’s perfectly fine.
