Black Lace...

...I like to wear! No, not as lingerie, but as a one-piece dress or in the form of nylon stockings with lace patterns. It was the latter that caught my eye in the manufacturer's window last October and drew me into the store. While paying, my gaze fell on the perfume pens with printed lace patterns... I briefly tested "Noir," found it pleasant, and took it home for a small price. Well, it was my birthday, so I wanted to treat myself a little...

In my opinion, "Noir" is really not a great work of art. It does not strike me as "dark," mysterious, or even erotic - the associations one would have with black lace. Instead, it makes me think more of white cotton lingerie than black lace lingerie.
The scent is moderately sweet on me and at the same time "clean," a bit synthetic, powdery but less so. It reminds me of something indefinable from my childhood. Perhaps it was this memory of a feeling of security that prompted me to make the purchase. Therefore, it’s not a bad buy, but I wouldn’t want to pay a higher price for this type of perfume.

Noir is not black enough

Here I am in the newly opened Hunkemöller store, not searching, no, but hoping to find something beautiful as a gift for my girlfriend. Yes, it's not that easy; the more choices there are, the more indecisive I become.
Classic simple and innocent white catches my eye. But she always buys that for herself.
Nude? I still know that as "skin" and it's more something for Bridget Jones or my great-aunt Sieglinde.
Sinful red, perhaps? Unfortunately, they only have this screaming traffic light red here, which I find somewhat vulgar.
There are a hundred other neon and candy colors, but if I bring something like that home, I'm definitely facing an Ishihara color test.
That leaves the tried-and-true, still slightly naughty black. You can't really go wrong with that. Black lace is always a nice contrast on the skin. Ooh, I already like something there …
But then I'm distracted, as a display with "accessories" stands there among all the panties, bras, stockings …

Naked, the bottles stand in the Hunkemöller world, completely without boxes. "Noir" is a rounded upright hand-friendly bottle in clear glass with a pale yellow liquid. The black print is discreet with the name, manufacturer, and a lot of black lace as a print. Above it is a somewhat unimaginative plastic cap on a sadly not very fine spraying button. Not exciting, not particularly creative, but OK. I generally shy away from comparisons, but if I now visualize the Diesel fragrances with the fishnet stockings over them as a counterpart, … yes, a completely different world.

The scent is once again a sugary mess. Sweet flowers, although I can't say which ones. Maybe roses. Along with something heavy that is supposed to be musk. To me, it smells more like vanilla. In any case, these two notes surround a rather artificial aura that is clear but not really disturbing or unpleasant. I can't think of much more regarding the synthetic notes. Over time, the scent becomes a little powdery, but mainly it remains sweet. I wouldn't associate it with black, as it unfortunately lacks depth and dark notes.

That sounds not nice again. No, I still don't want to be nice. After all, my nose is still not being treated kindly. This floral sweetness lasts a good six hours and hardly comes to an end. The projection is already quite pronounced, almost penetrating, definitely not for public spaces, but rather for one's own chamber.

On the plus side, the scent is inexpensive. It also caters well to the target group of teenagers and young twens. I would like to positively mention that the scent is also available as a practical 8ml travel spray in glass for the handbag.

In the end, besides the question of what I bought for her at Hunkemöller, it remains open whether the world really needs another floral-sweet synthetic fragrance. I don't think so. Instead, Hunkemöller should stick to its core competencies: lingerie and underwear. And they can do that. I need to go shopping there again …

If Crystal Noir wanted to be girly and playful, it would be like Noir. Fresh, spicy, coconut with a bit of girly fruits. Unfortunately a bit aquatic.
