Exotic Countries, Exotic Flowers, Exotic Scents

The garden of Madagascar is filled with vanilla orchids, wonderfully blooming tamarind trees, ylang-ylang, and tall trees from whose bark fragrant resin flows in the sun. It smells soft, warm, and almond-like; one could almost taste it, it’s so beautiful.

Jardin de Madagascar is the fourth fragrance in the 100% Naturelles Jardin series by Isabel Derroisné and, like the other three, it’s a hit!

Tonka is a bit more pronounced, the honey adds a decent amount of sweetness, but in combination, it’s still bearable. I immediately think of Guerlain's Tonka Imperiale, which Jardin de Madagascar resembles quite closely.

An absolute, total cuddle scent - and thus it fits perfectly into the current mainstream. Despite its soft, sweet, gourmand nature, Jardin de Madagascar is not a heavy, overwhelming fragrance.
However, it is quite noticeable and lasts surprisingly long. The sillage is quite decent, the scent is easily perceivable in the vicinity of the wearer. In contrast to Jardin de Bali, which is significantly fresher and more summery, Jardin de Madagascar is more of an autumn and winter fragrance, although I can also imagine it quite well on a cool spring day.

Although Isabel Derroisné's fragrances are more designed for the small purse and aimed at the masses, they are remarkably well made and pleasantly stand out from the usual mainstreams. Isabel Derroisné knows how to give her fragrances something special, something appealing.

The bottle is designed just like the others in this series and is in a very nice, light green. On the packaging, however, a sunny yellow flower shines.

Anyone who loves gourmand fragrances, especially those who enjoy Tonka Imperiale, should definitely give this a try. It’s really worth it.

Unfortunately, I missed out on this scent - it was never available for order when I checked the Ricaud site :-(

I only like gourmands on the side, meaning not too much, but your comment is great as always.

After Jardin de Bali was so disgusting because of the ylang, I can gladly pass on this one too, even though the bottle is appealing. But no, nothing with ylang. Still well described.
