Well, by now it really is the case that I read the comments here before I buy or order a perfume.
In this case, I was torn. Two comments that couldn't be more different. But I am naturally a curious person. (Yes, I know that’s not always a good thing ;-))
So, I created a little checklist for myself.
Bottle? Beautiful in my eyes. Check!
Scent notes? Fit perfectly into my preference. Check!
Very affordable offer from a super nice Parfumo enthusiast? Check!
And tastes are known to be different.
Unfortunately, I must admit that I don’t really like the scent.
Although it starts off very positively. Very fresh, very lemony without coming across as artificial.
But then it comes. What my predecessor referred to as peppermint tea bag. I can't express it better. Although not listed in the scent notes, this peppermint note stands out clearly. And not in a positive sense.
I don’t find mint in a perfume bad in itself. It can give a little kick to certain scent notes.
For example, in Escada Sexy Graffiti, it keeps the raspberry from being too sweet, making the whole perfume fresher.
Unfortunately, that’s not the case here. The scent doesn’t change from that point on. You wait in vain for scent notes like coconut water or vanilla.
What a pity. This could have definitely been handled better.
