Vertige is the very latest fragrance from Isabel Derroisné, and of course, I ordered it.
With all due respect, the packaging and the bottle are, in my opinion, hideously ugly. However, the content is not. And here we come to the name of this new treasure - Vertige, which means dizziness (or vertigo). I assume it refers to dizziness, as the overall packaging of the fragrance certainly misleads regarding the content. In contrast to the packaging, the fragrance itself is very beautiful, and in the blue glass bottle, which is matte-coated at the bottom, lies a true summer gem.
A fresh fruity opening - like a freshly prepared fruit salad - is followed by a very lovely, floral heart note that is neither intrusive nor in any way loud. The flowers are wonderfully harmonized here, and the scent is best perceived from a smaller distance, as there is still a slight fruitiness noticeable on the skin.
While the opening is quite sweet, the heart note is only slightly sweet, which makes this truly wearable fragrance so pleasant.
Despite the patchouli, the base is neither sweet nor musty but very beautifully calm and green-woody.
The fragrance is close to the body but not too intimate, and it lasts incredibly well. Beautiful to wear in summer, but also in spring or autumn.
For me, this fragrance is a real surprise and a clear proof that one should not be deceived by appearances, as in this case, the content has much more to offer than the packaging and the bottle would suggest.

Duschen, I just wanted to know what it smells like, nothing more. *****
Kittycat, there are some available through the cosmetics retailer Dr. Pierre Ricaud, but this one, as far as I know, is not yet. You can get it from me (see Souk).
