The Love-Hate Relationship

To get straight to the point: the scent itself is stunning. Since I have a preference for amber fragrances anyway, my assessment can only be positive. At first, you clearly notice the sticky sweetness of ripe dates and honey; then woody notes and the namesake amber develop. The fragrance is soft, velvety, and rounded, but also a bit bitter, the composition is absolutely harmonious. It merges with the skin chemistry into an opulence that is unmatched.
Actually.
The perfume contains pure oil instead of the usual alcohol base. I can already hear some of you asking: what does that do to me? Nothing, as long as you have a reputable dry cleaner at your disposal.
I admit that I am a bit set in my ways when it comes to my routines, after all, I'm no longer 20 (to be honest, I'm not even 30 anymore). Shower, dry off, moisturize, style hair, brush teeth, get dressed, apply makeup, perfume. Please in this order, without outside disturbances. And therein lies the rub! With Il Profvmo fragrances, you can't apply them as you normally would. They are greasy.
Silk blouses, light linen dresses, everything with a collar, as well as clothing made from natural materials that can only be hand-washed, lose their prime spot in the home wardrobe. They get permanent stains.
Now I hope for winter. I will stick to my morning ritual as described above and then put on my dark winter turtleneck.
You can't see the grease stains as intensely.
The alternative would be to wear the fragrance in a bikini during the height of summer, then it wouldn't have the chance to leave greasy marks. No, seriously, who needs fussy winter fragrances in the middle of summer? Not me!
I'm looking forward to the cold season and will hide the visual remnants of this wonderful scent under sturdy clothing.

In India, many people put perfume oil on small cotton balls that they wear in their ears... by the way, I received a mini sample of this scent as an EdT, and it’s really lovely...

There are also alcohol-based scents, but with Patchouli Noir, the Absolue version-made with almond oil instead of alcohol-smells even softer and rounder... a dream. But the issue with the stains calls for an alternative way of application...

The regular Ambre d'Or Osmo EdP (spray bottle) isn't "greasy" for me.
However, the Ambre d'Or Osmo Absolu (splash bottle) is an oil, and those usually leave stains, which is why I prefer the EdP...

I also noticed today that Il Profvmo fragrances are "greasy" (At least I can say that about "Nymphea"!! It needs a bit of drying time ;).
