Why not? Many years ago, after a workshop on "Arabic Dance, Veil Dance" with a closing party (men were only allowed in the company of women), the short instructor, a 60-year-old former Arabic dancer from an opera in Paris, danced the sword dance. He had a bit of a belly and a sun terrace on his head, dressed in a djellaba and barefoot. We learned the veil dance from him that weekend, which he demonstrated very elegantly and gracefully, with great flexibility, haha! Back then, we only had workshops with men who would run us up and down the gym for hours. They really knew Arabic dance, for sure. I did too back then.
