The Scent of Summer Rain

I continue to test the Imaginary Authors fragrances. Now I've reached Mosaic and find that the design of the bottle already makes a nice impression. And the scent notes with limestone, whatever that is supposed to smell like, give hope for something pleasant.

Well, so far there have been both pleasant and less impressive scents from this brand, so I really don't know what to expect. And here we go.

*Spray scent on arm and hope this isn't a mistake*

**The Scent:**
The scent immediately starts with bergamot and oak moss, creating a typically classic feeling. There’s also a slightly sweet note that I can't quite identify.
Limestone, hmm... what does that really smell like? I should start sniffing around buildings made of limestone and such (even though I would look silly sniffing a wall...). But to me, it smells like the air on a hot and humid summer day after rain. Later, it becomes a bit dusty and dry, yet lightened up by the citrus notes, so it's actually quite nice.
Then there's a bit of cedarwood, with the citrus notes still quite prominent later on, though now smelling more like oranges than lemons. And that's about it, as the scent remains almost unchanged until the end.

**The Sillage and Longevity:**
Even with this scent, the projection is rather moderate and will only be detectable from close up, especially later.
The longevity is average, lasting about six to seven hours. I find that okay.

**The Bottle:**
The bottle is rectangular, which isn't particularly special. But it has a nice label featuring a mosaic pattern in white and blue tones, with an "M" letter embedded in the center. Quite nicely done.

This scent from Imaginary Authors is quite nice. Not outstanding, not particularly strong, and not very complex, but at least it smells nice like a summer rain that has stirred up the dusty ground, a little at least.

You can't really use it for going out, but maybe it works well as a simple daytime scent. Or just for relaxation, e.g., with a good book, preferably a novel by the "Imaginary Authors" :D
But as I said, one shouldn't expect too much here.

You can still test it. And now I'm going to go sniff around buildings... :DD

Yes, I have to admit that I didn't address the "novel" created by Imaginary Authors here. But thanks for the info!

Citrus acids dissolve limestone, neutralize everything; there should at least be something like fizz or foam. There's a contradiction here, or you have to spin the story further... otherwise, the limestone doesn't make sense.
