Take Me… ❤

...I couldn't resist this enticing invitation from Iris lipstick in blood-red attire and ventured in blindly.
I was curious about the accompaniment of cocoa, and the tuberose, which sometimes feels too heavy for me, made me a bit apprehensive.
And yet, I couldn't resist…

Right from the start, I fell in love ❤

As soon as I come into contact with the fragrance, it captivates me; it's love at first sniff, so to speak. Every risk was worth it.
As is often the case with fragrances that I find completely successful and fascinating, and this one definitely belongs to that category, I find it rather difficult to describe them in individual elements or transitions. The overall impression prevails. It's somewhat like when we fall in love; we might mention that it's their eyes or her hair that fascinates us, but that doesn't sufficiently explain the feeling of being in love.

The scent starts off softly powdery-fruity, a cheeky little fruit peeks out from behind a sheer peppery-spicy veil.

This shyness only lasts a brief moment; very soon the layers are shed, and the fragrance presents itself in all its facets. I wouldn't describe it as a progression where individual notes replace one another, but rather as a gradual weaving of all components into a seductive red fragrance dress.

Floral notes join in, but very subtly; nothing pushes itself to the forefront, no rose and thankfully not the tuberose either. On the contrary, the tuberose surprises me with a wonderful sunscreen note, sun-kissed skin radiates the warmth of the day.

Gradually, a dry cocoa nuance becomes recognizable, as if the tip of the tongue is licking a dab of dessert from the lips, without ever drifting into the kitschy-sweet-sticky.

Other soft notes like amber and presumably sandalwood (which I can't pinpoint directly) join in and let this rendezvous end on a cozy note.

And what about the iris?
The iris gives the fragrance a fine powderiness from the very beginning, which is increasingly complemented by a creaminess as it develops.

And what about the lipstick?
Specifically on fabric, the fragrance also shows this dry, almost mineral lipstick note that I love so much and am always hungry to find.
It gives Prends-moi (take me) a special playful touch in projection. Nevertheless, I would rather speak of a general makeup scent than a lipstick fragrance.

The aura definitely radiates something very noble and elegant and yes, indeed also seductive.

I ordered the 50ml bottle, which has a fun diamond-shaped base. It is made of beautiful heavy translucent red glass and has a quality stopper. The spray is very fine and easy to control.
The longevity is truly enduring with many hours, and the sillage, as already mentioned, is rather discreet. It's not a loud "Look at me," but an exclusive luxurious intimacy that you get here.

I must say that the fragrance surprised me very positively. Not that I had no hope due to the mentioned favorite notes, but I have often been disappointed by promising pyramids, and the Isabey fragrances I have tested so far have not left a special impression on me either. So I approached it with cautious hope.
What I experienced after the first spray completely blew me away, and I will definitely respond to the invitation "Prends-moi - take me - nimm mich" very often and gladly. I believe it will be my companion for warm to hot ;-) summer evenings this year ❤

Very nice comment! I also give the bottle 10 points; it’s a dream. And I find the tuberose quite subtle as well. It’s a lovely scent, but it didn’t quite spark that “must-have” impulse for me. ;-)

That sounds wonderful! If it weren't already on my wishlist, it would definitely be added now :). I find the bottle and its color as interesting as the perfume name next to it ;), but those are just details. I can imagine that I would really like the scent.

I'm happy for you that this blind buy turned out to be a love affair. You really have a knack for identifying treasures from the pyramid and description.
And what a bright red bottle!

This sounds really nice. And I'm not a tuberose fan. Many of Isabey's fragrances have been too opulent for me so far. Maybe I should give it a try? Very nice comment!

Another lovely comment! I found it a bit tuberose-heavy and slightly cloying, so I set it aside for now. But now I'm really in the mood to test the fragrance more thoroughly, especially after reading how good it sounds :) *trophy shelf*
