a solid summer release by Issey Miyake

When I first got my bottle I sprayed on my wrist and I immediately got a callback to l'Eau d'Issey Sport which is strange as what I get the most from it is grapefruit and leather non of which are present in this one but the resemblance was uncanny.

Today I'm wearing it for the first time and the difference is night and day compared to what I got yesterday. Yes, there's some similarities or a familiar feel between the two but nothing more than that. With Shade of Sea there is some sweetness, there's also a coconut-y feel, like a suntan lotion vibe and since there is no coconut listed in the notes I'll assume it's because of the Frangipani (which I've never smelled before). I also get some orange, not bitter as listed in the notes just regular orange and a very nice salty note cause after all, it's a Majeure flanker so it does have the DNA.

This is a gorgeous fragrance, I had little to no faith in it but went for it just because I love everything Issey Miyake does and it's a very nice surprise. I hope performance is good as I'd love to be able to smell like this for most of the day.
