An Opium clone
My detective abilities are sparse… I am not the Sherlock Holmes of the Perfume World. Therefore it is less than nothing I have been able to find out about the Je-En brand. But I have been able to test Lumina, which I have. A small (9ml), old bottle that looks quite unpretentious as the other bottles from this brand.
I tested on a cotton pad. The liquid came out, very dark and brown, so I am glad I did not test it directly on the skin. The smell hit my nose hard. It has a lot in common with Opium EdT (1977), which I have and know quite well. Lumina has the same balsamic/woody/resinous blend with a faint floral note and a spicy touch. It grows slowly on my skin and it develops into a warm, deep smell that lasts for more than 10 hours. Waking the next morning I sniffed the pad again, and now the fragrance had turned all floral. A very beautiful floral, by the way.
It is powerful and it reeks of the 1970s. Not bad for an unknown and now gone brand. I am not sure that I shall ever wear it, though, since the colour of the liquid scares me a bit, and the age of it makes me uncertain if I should break out in a rash.
