...since perfume names interest me little to not at all, I don't want to comment on whether the title is well chosen or not! What I do want to refer to is the content, as it is extraordinarily well done. I am anything but a leather fan and usually avoid fragrances that contain leather, but here I and my nose are very delighted! The finest suede greets me with the first spray. Soft as a Rolf Benz sofa and as fragrant as Nappa leather in our roadsters or convertibles. Soft like the finest carpaccio, warm-spicy, rounded, and slightly sweet. Saffron mixed with cinnamon gives the fragrance its sweetness, leather provides the kick! Everything is miles away from "sticky-sweet"... even if warm milk is quietly hinted at in the background. But there is no comparison to Palo Santo, Lumiere Blanche, or Amour Nocturne... let alone a twin of Palo Santo... as I read here today. This milk accord is significantly lower and less noticeable. In my opinion, the vanilla also holds back considerably! In contrast, the incense can be perceived much stronger, and it is of the soft variety, nothing dark or sacred, it smells pleasantly spicy like a light campfire, no cold ash or even an ashtray. For me, it is a completely rounded fragrance that creates enough contrasts to remain interesting over time while still being immediately accessible... it reminds me very much of Blamage in character! The former piano maker and royal supplier has created a great fragrance, though the longevity could be a tad higher; for me, it lasts at least 5-6 hours. The sillage is very present in the first 2 hours and gradually decreases until it becomes quite intimate towards the end.
...really very delicious and pleasant the scent! But I can definitely rule out any similarity to Palo Santo!!! Trophy for yet another great comment :-)
