A Scent for the Uncle

A rather adult fragrance, so definitely not for boys around 20, more something for the uncle as a gift. I specifically don’t say for dad, because I’m not one, and such a dad can smell much older. Uncle describes it, I think, just right. It feels a bit like a Cerruti 1881, absolutely not similar in scent, no, more for the same audience.
Fresh, green-spicy, just adult.

The top notes are almost as perceptible as they are declared, only the cypress overshadows a bit too much for my taste, and I would have liked mandarin and mint to have a bigger role, while the fresh basil comes across quite balanced.

In the heart note, the cypress, which is no longer prominent, is overshadowed by the sage note, even though I wished for violet leaf to be stronger; you notice it rather vaguely, while the remaining notes remain almost unnoticed.

In the base, the drydown offers little woodiness and only a faint musk note. Vanilla, unfortunately, is not perceptible to my nose.

I ordered Jaguar Performance along with some other fragrances out of a bargain mood, and I must say the cypress can become quite monotonous, but beyond that, I find it successful.

The longevity is above average, so max 7 hours.
Sillage is relatively mediocre.
The bottle feels heavy in the hand, and the cap has a funny tire look.

I think for certain occasions where a young scent like Ducati Fight for Me wouldn’t be the right choice, it will also come into play.
