the scent of fine floral soap

During my visit to the Galeries Lafayette perfumery on Friday morning, I not only had the opportunity to test the two "big fragrances" from Jean Patou; I also received a sample of "Joy forever".
This allowed me to gain an impression of this Eau de Toilette in a calm manner over several hours.

The lavish floral scent of "Joy" is not only rejuvenated here; it is also quite diluted.
For everyday use, I often prefer the Eau de Toilette: it seems more appropriate to me on some days.
With "Joy forever", it is simply too light, too fleeting for me.

The scent reminds me of the fine floral soaps that I order directly from a soap factory in Marseille and that I still - very old-fashioned - keep in my linen cupboard.

I had expected something in the style of the Eau de Toilette of my "Sublime" and was now disappointed.
Surprisingly, this "whiff of nothingness" lasts quite a long time; even after hours, there is a very faint floral scent present.
This variant of "Joy forever" will surely find its admirers; personally, I find it just too bland! - What a pity!

I had this scent as a sample and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the notes in the bottle I bought later were completely different and too much for me, so I had to let it go.

No! "Bright" doesn't sound silly; it's what I call "soft." Something's missing, but what?

Something about "Joy Forever" bothered me too. I don't know what it is, but it's the same thing I don't really like about "Diorama." If I had to express it in colors: too "bright"! (Sounds silly, I know).
