When Reflection Man flexed its muscles
a relentlessly strong mix of
orange blossom, musk, amber, and coumarin.

I really liked smelling it on others. Unfortunately, I couldn't wear it very well myself.

One of the very few Gaultier fragrances that really grabbed me. I can understand your enthusiasm!

My husband loved it. But unfortunately, he can't wear it. His skin itches. Otherwise, I would have gotten him a bottle.

I missed the coolness of Reflection Man with this one, so I found the Amouage much better. Let's not even talk about the re-release...

I don't know if it was reformulated, but I found it quite sweet.

That sounds great! I wonder if the current version is still that good? The scent has always passed me by...

It's never mentioned as a reference here, but the very first Reflection Man I had as a sample years ago actually smelled quite similar to this Gaultier, while the Le Male was less so. Only the opening was a bit fresher, more citrusy, but what followed went exactly in that direction and was just as muscular and loud. Today, Reflection is well-behaved and powdery, more of a business guy than a muscle man. It's a great scent, but the Coumarin doesn't work for me. Think of Krigler's Abrakaadabra as an alternative. It could fit! Thanks to my dear Bernebee for the testing opportunity.
