One of the best perfume releases of 2022 (so far)
I was initially conflicted about this scent. Another flanker, I thought. But I also thought: Actually, JPG makes pretty good flankers. Consider Ultra Male or Superman.
Still, I approached this fragrance with great skepticism. When I finally smelled it: Awesome. That was my first thought.
It smells fresh, fruity, and the blood orange is very prominent right from the opening. It smells similar to Mandarino di Amalfi by Tom Ford. However, with a blood orange in the fruit basket. Otherwise, like with MdA, it has pure sunscreen and vacation vibes. You can run straight to the beach with this. And yes, it does have a bit of a reminder of "On the beach" - however, "On the beach" has more of a "fresh laundry feeling" going on.
I would rate the sillage and longevity a 7/10. I get through the workday well with it. For such a bright and fresh designer fragrance, that's a really good performance.
In general, the scent is also in the unisex sweet spot. It can really be worn by anyone.
My conclusion:
Anyone looking for a summer fragrance for 2022 and/or perhaps annoyed by the price or longevity of Mandarino di Amalfi will find a really good alternative here. You get a strong, summery, and cheerful scent for quite little money. I'm curious to see when the hype for this will start.

I find the bitter-citrusy match of Yuzu + Neroli in LV On the Beach absolutely amazing! I'm curious to see how they harmonize in JPG. I’ll give it a try; I also think this modern combo could have hype potential for next summer!

I picked up the scent two days ago in Palma for a good price, and I'm really impressed. It’s perfect for a beach vacation. The fabric covering on the bottle, though, feels a bit cheap.

It's really great for summer. I think the hype will definitely increase :) Yeah, as I mentioned in the video, it flutters around a bit. It might break quickly or even come off completely. It looks nice too :)
