Eve Jil Sander 2011

I absolutely love the new "Chloé" and I adore "Love, Chloé" (unfortunately, I can't wear it). So what does that mean according to the calculations of the ladies and gentlemen at Sander? Well, that I will be crazy about "Eve." And what do I do? I’m all ears, I’m so into "Eve."

I would say the calculation has worked out. Am I really that predictable? I don’t care. Then I’m just a drawer consumer. I happily fit into the Chloé-LoveChloè-Eve drawer!

Whatever the other Fumos say: "Eve" touches me deeply. And because I’m touched, I’m at a loss for words. I’ll just try to compare it to the "sister scents." The new "Chloé" is a hyper-feminine rose detergent scent. "Love, Chloé" is a hyper-feminine handbag scent. And "Eve" is a hyper-feminine, slightly fruity soap. Not rose soap, but the scent of freshly washed women’s skin with fruity luxury soap.

"Eve" smells so soapy that I even feel the specific soap taste on my tongue after spraying it. Accompanied by a sweet-bitter, only hinted fruitiness. Even later, this hinted fruitiness remains (yes, those are definitely currants and a bit of grapefruit). I can't report any pronounced floral notes here. Just soft, enchanting luxury soap on women’s skin.
