Reconciliation
Jil Sander is a brand that I used to appreciate very much; several fragrances adorned my collection, and then it became a bit quiet between Jil and me in recent years.
No fragrance really wanted to touch my heart; it often lacked that certain something.
But now I am reconciled with Jil Sander again, as Simply Eau de Parfum Poudrée has enchanted me and has been my companion quite often for the past few weeks.
So many attributes come to mind, like cotton ball, cuddly blanket, almond pastry, starry sky, soul comforter.......... what I mean to say is that this fragrance is so fluffy-soft that it drives away all negative feelings and lures you into dreaming.
It may sound a bit cheesy, but there must be a reason why I particularly reach for this fragrance on not-so-good days.........!
Eau de Parfum Poudrée is above all one thing, namely powdery, which will surely touch the hearts of many who love clean scents.
Rice powder is present from start to finish and merges with heliotrope and tonka bean, so that there is also a subtly vanilla-almond tone resonating.
The freesia is not distinctly detectable for me; however, amidst all the powderiness, there is also a floral note present, but this does not play a leading role, and the mandarin listed in the fragrance pyramid remains discreetly in the background.
Overall, I find the scent very well balanced; all the fragrance notes are finely intertwined and create a delicate scent garment.
The only downside is the longevity, which is at best mediocre, but given the moderate price of the fragrance, I don’t mind spraying it on again.
In conclusion, I would like to say that I am really happy that Jil Sander has created a fragrance again that goes beyond the label "nice, but insignificant" for me and has already earned me compliments :-)

I really like Softly from the new ones as a home-lounge scent; I guess I need to try Simply again.
The last Sander that really interested me was the old "Sensations." I even had the extrait with that integrated roll-on. I also thought the old "Jil" was great. But then??? Maybe I should give this one a try again...
