A woman never tears your clothes off…

Today I am presenting one of the Jo Loves fragrances again, which is a daughter line of the Jo Malone scents. They are a kind of spin-off, as one would say in movies or games.

Anyway, I keep testing some of these fragrances, but I haven't encountered one that has truly blown me away. Unfortunately, this scent here is also not particularly outstanding.

It is supposed to contain truffles, which, as is well known, are said to drive women crazy due to their aphrodisiac effect, or so they say… maybe I should spray this fragrance endlessly the next time I leave the apartment? :D

Men are known to be totally desperate and, especially now in spring, they even believe advertisements like those for Axe deodorants, where if you spray it on, you are swarmed by women and have your clothes torn off. And truffles are said to have a similar effect… *sigh* :DD

Well, let's see how this scent smells!

**The scent:**
It smells like mushrooms, yes, that must be the truffles. It is an earthy, woody scent. I may know best how mushrooms smell, but you can still tell that it smells like mushrooms here, even if you might be unsure how truffles actually smell.
Over time, these mushrooms become spicier, as a pepper note comes in that gradually becomes stronger, but not necessarily sharper.
Unfortunately, figs are only barely detectable, as they are overshadowed by the pepper, the mushrooms, and general forest scents. You can really only smell the figs when you sniff at the sprayed spot, and even then only for a very short time.
Later, the pepper notes and actually the entire scent become a bit milder, with additional, but rather indeterminate spices coming in.
In the base, these spices and also the black pepper become milder again, so that the scent then smells more earthy and again only of mushrooms, soil, and forest.

**The sillage and longevity:**
The sillage is above average, so it’s quite okay, meaning the scent is detectable at a normal distance for a (short) while. But it doesn’t really leave a lasting scent cloud.
The longevity is okay. I would say it lasts about nine or ten hours.

**The bottle:**
At first glance, the Jo Loves bottles resemble the Jo Malone bottles a bit, but they are generally more angular and have a sterile-modern look. The bottle is rectangular and has a large white label on the front with the name of the fragrance, as well as a red dot, which is sort of the signature of the perfumer Jo Malone. It looks nice, but is still a bit simple.

Well. This scent hasn’t particularly blown me away either, even though it’s not a “stinker” because of the mushrooms and such. However, it may smell too strongly of mushrooms and earth for some, and at times (especially at the beginning when the pepper and spices are stronger) it even feels more like a meal than a perfume.

I seriously doubt that this scent will make you ladies want to tear a guy's clothes off… and with Axe, that unfortunately doesn’t work either, no matter how much you spray on… :( :( :( *sigh*

So, I find this scent here, which by the way smells like an all-rounder (usable in any season) and could best be used during the day, to be mediocre and not necessarily worth testing… therefore, I still find the Jo Malone fragrances far better than this “spin-off.”

Here too: it has a mushroomy scent in the dry down! I find that kind of strange...

Maybe you can attract truffle pigs with it, and then they'll tear at your clothes. Earth and forest - nice, but mushroom smell sounds really gross, absurd.

Yes, Waldemar, Waldemar! Because it happened in the woods... :-D
Figs in the woods, is that even a thing? Did someone leave their dentures in a glass? They say: Silence in the woods, just wait and see...
