Blueberry sweets!
EXTRA sweet, fruity and little spicy. Lovely perfume which combines nicely sweet fruits with patcoulli some distant flowers. Nice for spring. Galliano manages to create nice perfumes and addictive ones. Unusual idea for the bottle and packaging. Parlez-moi de Galliano!

more to it than jam
Yes, the top notes are a blueberry and raspberry jam. But the lavender and rose give the perfume a young, powdery, and sophisticated touch. I suppose this could pass for a "reformulation" of a vintage perfume if you sniffed it blindly, stripping away the packaging and the knowledge that it was created just last year. Lasting power was wonderful; I sprayed it on 8 hours ago and the rose is still going strong.

Cheerful Schoolgirl Meets Lady in Evening Dress
When the EDT came to stores back then, I wanted to test it, but the perfumery didn't have it on the shelf, and I never smelled it later either.
I then ordered the EDP blindly because it wasn't available for testing and the fragrance pyramid appealed to me, so I just took the risk.

I was, of course, prepared for the fruit bomb at the beginning and was relieved that it didn't turn out to be as extreme as I had feared.
On me, I first perceive the gentle blueberries, but then the dreaded, quite artificial-smelling raspberry pushed its way forward.
The mandarin note completely disappears into the berry jam.
I paused for a moment and then remembered what the top note reminded me of:
Taylor Swift's wonderstruck, which I had sprayed on myself while casually strolling through a drugstore.
I was quite shocked and hoped this association would soon dissipate.
I would have been fine with just the blueberry in the top note.
The difference from wonderstruck is that during the course of the top note, a dampening, soft note lays over the fruitiness and softens it.
The top note feels quite long-lasting to me until the fruits gradually retreat and make way for the flowers.

And they are finally here!
Not a thin floral water, but an intense, deep floral scent.
Not a lavender sachet scent, yet the lavender is clearly noticeable, paired with the rose and the jasmine which gets a bit overshadowed.
The lavender enhances the flowers even more and intensifies the fragrance overall.
In between, the floral scent becomes a bit herbaceous, as if one were pulling a plant with roots out of the ground, but not unpleasant; I find the flowers smell quite authentic.
Nothing sharp pricks the nose; everything is balanced: the floral sweetness, the floral bitterness.
Before it smells too old-fashioned, the aromatic lavender still manages to stay on track (mostly at least) and then pushes the rose to the forefront.

The base reminds me of Miss Dior, only here the vanilla lays a slightly sweet powdery veil over the bitter notes.
The fragrance really undergoes a drastic transformation:
from the fruity sweet boy-girl scent to an adult, slightly vintage-tinged ladies' perfume for all ages.
This makes it a bit difficult to assign a target group, and some may not like it at all.
I would have preferred less lavender!
A very intense, strong fragrance, with which you leave a scent cloud behind with just two sprays.

Addendum: Unfortunately, I sometimes get headaches from the scent, which has never happened to me with any perfume before. Maybe I'm just imagining it...?
Well, let's wait and see; for now, other fragrances are on the agenda.

Sweet raspberry soda with a splash - a few blueberries roll around in the glass and a sugar rose sticks to the rim.

Initially squeaky sweet, gum-like. Then sour fruity, rounded off with rose to make it bearable. Similar to Trésor la nuit and Miss Dior a.b.
