I am a very big Joop collector, missing 3 fragrances from the Homme family, 2 from the Jump, and this was my first from the GO Pre Series (I had a bottle of Go Electric Heat about a year ago that I liked incredibly well, but unfortunately it broke)
I managed to snag a 1/4 bottle from Vinted.
I really don’t like this fragrance at all
I read all the scent notes and was genuinely excited
I thought it would be a modified version of the original Joop Go
Then I tested it and an unbelievably strong, aggressive, and extreme licorice scent hit me, not even synthetic, but extreme!
Licorice drowned out all the other scent notes, you could smell nothing else but licorice
Even throughout the day, just licorice... Only just before the end (about 3 hours later) did a woody/spicy scent come through, I think the spicy component should be the saffron, but it was overshadowed by the licorice...
Longevity overall about 4 hours.
Very disappointing, I was really looking forward to this fragrance
Otherwise, I really like the packaging and the sillage, much more creative and better than the original GO.
This fragrance will not be used again, it will stay in the collection forever
The GO Electric Heat version was significantly, 100x better, now I only need the Hot Contact variant.
