In this review, I will take a closer look at the actual Musk Oil perfume oil, which still makes me feel like I'm floating away.
There’s a little story that’s somewhat embarrassing but just as funny. When I was 18, I was entering the phase where I wanted to stand out to the guys. Back then, I was a nerd; for some reason, I thought I was uninteresting to them. Only years later did I find out that I was actually quite popular, but that’s how it is during adolescence - we are all plagued by insecurities, and our self-confidence still needs to grow and flourish.
At that time, I didn’t understand much about perfumes. But the power of the internet made me research, and I stumbled upon pheromones. I don’t remember exactly which article it was, something from the pseudo magazines online, but it stated that certain fragrance substances like pheromones can affect men. One of them was supposedly musk. With the thought that I had found an answer, I went to the drugstore and looked for something with as much musk as possible. Without thinking too much, I searched for something with the name Musk and found it. It was a pretty little orange box that fit my budget. With great joy, I got this wonder product and could hardly wait to apply it. I thought at the time that my crush would fall in love with me right away xD
However, when I got home, I was a bit confused when I unwrapped a perfume oil instead of a perfume. I applied it and was very satisfied; it smelled pleasant to me as well. Curious about what would happen next, I wore it to school. I don’t know what exactly was going through my mind back then, but the line of admirers never formed. At first, I felt beautiful. I actually thought, just don’t use too much pheromone; I don’t want too much attention. But the effect of the Musk Oils at an unbeatable price didn’t turn out as I had hoped. Still, I found a wonderful scent for myself, which makes me reminisce to this day. This little gem has been worn for many years, and even now when I apply it, it makes me think like back then: that I am an irresistible lady :)
It simply smells wonderful, the sweet nuances, the musk bed full of floral notes, buttery notes, and vanilla.... Oh, how lovely it smells. After some time, it becomes soapy, and you just smell very freshly showered and well-groomed. For some, the scent may seem outdated, but for me, it’s a little excursion into my youth. It makes me smile and reminisce.
Among all the niche fragrances, it remains an unbeatable scent.
I completely missed this one until today. But the word **old-fashioned** really piques my interest. My Muschio from Santa Maria Novella is also anything but modern. Adding it to my watchlist.
