Oriental is said to be the most erotic scent among the Jovoys. Jovoy writes in its booklet that this fragrance is not a perfume, but a weapon with which one seduces and enchants......oh how cheesy!
Well, even though I don't have a gun license, I boldly spray on Oriental and initially smell a little pizza illusion. Okay, I admit, the pizza is really only there for a brief moment... pink pepper, after all. Then I initially smell a vanilla wood from the base. There are flowers too, but they can't be analyzed so finely, as in my opinion they are completely artificial, and my nose is just not used to that anymore.... hehehe.
Well, I find the name "Oriental" grossly exaggerated, because in the realm of oriental fragrances there are so many wonderful perfumes that the Jovoy scent cannot compare to. I also find the ambition to want to create an erotic scent weapon quite overambitious, given the actual scent that flows towards me.
Overall, Oriental is a nice fragrance. I particularly appreciate its softness, but for me, it just isn't good enough yet. One can also be nice and say that an oriental perfume is being reinterpreted here :-) well, the artificiality in this scent is a bit jarring to my nose and that is a no-go.
