Beauty Comes from Within ;-)
First of all: This perfume has the ugliest bottle I have ever seen. I would never have picked this up in a perfume store. I have no idea what they were thinking; there is absolutely nothing beautiful about it.
So how did I end up with it? Well, I was curious - curious about the products from Ms. Williams. As an enthusiastic follower of "Die Höhle der Löwen," I wanted to know what this lioness is really capable of. Since my skin is quite hypersensitive and Ms. Williams' general cosmetic products are rather classic, I was left with her perfume collection. That was quite convenient for me as a perfume enthusiast.
What can I say - I went ahead and ordered.
The disappointing result: Most of the scents just smell "like an old lady" (quote from my husband) and they have very strong sillage, or they are simply dreadfully boring.
For me, in my early 30s, looking for a business scent, none of this was bearable.
But I didn't give up so quickly, and then came "You Are Beautiful."
But now to the scent: For me, it is an incredibly clear, slightly powdery, and not too sweet fragrance.
If you were to ask me what I smell, I would say mainly the mandarin, the lily of the valley, the peach, and the tonka bean. And it has a wonderful progression.
What makes the scent so special for me is that it gives me energy on one hand (You can achieve anything!), while on the other hand, it is beautifully delicate and calming (Relax, there are more important things than work..) and makes me feel very composed.
Therefore, it is perfect for business, and so it was allowed to stay.
I am sure many will find the scent too quiet, and many will also claim they have smelled something like this a thousand times before. But I can still recommend everyone to give it a try. It doesn't always have to be loud.
The only downside for me is the longevity; it could be significantly better (about 5 hours).
However, it is also incredibly cheap (someone probably paid Ms. Williams to take these ugly bottles off her hands ;-p).
It is also worth noting the manageable ingredient list - for example, one of the few fragrances without azo dyes.
Well, I have hidden the bottle; it is and remains embarrassing for me - but I wear the scent almost every day to work.
As the title says - here comes the beauty from within. ;-)

Yes, I like it, but I just don't like the bottle. I really don't want it sitting decoratively in my bathroom. ;-)
