Yes! OUI! Yes! Sí!...
As of today, my perfume addiction has reached a new level: I actually took a day off just to open the door for the nice FedEx delivery person in the morning. He brought along the eagerly awaited package from overseas, which contains the new fragrance from Juicy Couture!
I must say that I wouldn't do this for every perfume. However, the Juicy line, with its playful, sugary bottles and even sweeter scents, has a special place in my heart. Sure, one can argue about such "mainstream fragrances." But as long as they can turn a dreary day into a colorful one, they absolutely deserve to exist in my opinion!
So it is with OUI: The wonderful opening of watermelon and açaí (I don't perceive pear here, so it must be açaí) instantly spreads good vibes, quite literally. The two fruits come across as particularly natural and not synthetic at all.
Fruity and (typically) JUICY, the scent remains this way for a while, until the floral notes slowly reveal themselves in the heart. Please forgive me for not wanting to specify which flower is the most dominant. I always have a bit of trouble distinguishing differences in the floral corner...
As OUI gradually transforms into its base, the amber particularly makes its way to the forefront. Nevertheless, it remains pleasantly soft and doesn’t overshadow the other fragrance notes. Even though some fruity elements still pop up here and there, OUI has now developed a nice creaminess. The amber and woods also keep the sweetness in check without making the scent too harsh.
Sillage and longevity are good, with longevity clearly standing out. Here, the latter could have had a bit more "oomph." But that's nitpicking at a high level, as the fragrance is truly incredibly beautiful.
Finally, I want to mention the extremely attractive bottle: WOW, is it GORGEOUS!!! *.*
I’m glad that Juicy Couture has come up with a new shape for its new flagship. Even though I love the other bottles, especially from the Viva La Juicy line, OUI looks particularly great displayed among them!
In this sense: OUI to life, OUI to summer, and YES(!) to OUI!
